Rob Chaplinsky is a co-founder and Managing Director of venture capital firm, Bridgescale Partners.   Rob has been an active investor for over 15 years investing  in companies such Accelerant Networks (acquired by Synopsys), Brion Technologies (acquired by ASML), Cooligy (acquired by Emerson Electric), Dayforce (acquired by Ceridian), Form Factor (nasdaq, FORM), Pivotal Technologies (acquired by Broadcom), Proofpoint (Nasdaq PFPT), Quake Technologies (acquired by AMCC), and Rypple (acquired by Salesforce.com).

At Bridgescale, Rob focuses on companies targeting enterprise software, cloud computing, virtualization, advanced analytics, social computing, and security.   Rob’s recent investments include Axonify, BlueCat Networks, Cortina Systems, IMVU, and Xactly.  Rob is also a founder of Canadian social network Digitalpuck.ca and is a chartered member of the C100 organization for Canadian technology executives.

Prior to forming Bridgescale, Rob was as a general partner at early stage venture capital firm, Mohr Davidow Ventures (MDV) and prior to that worked in various marketing positions at Intel Corporation focused on mobile computing, servers and video.   Rob has a B. Sc in Engineering from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
